Roger Gonzalez, here enjoying a cigar in Port Jefferson
created CommunityTheaterNY.com strictly for fun...but out of that little hobby grew LocalTheatreNY.com, dedicated to local and independent theatre, arts and entertainment. The most recent addition to the entertainment site is BurlesqueNY.com.
Today the sites get more than 14,500 unique visitors a month, 50,000 page views and the subscriber base has grown to 10,000! The addition of original video content in the form of mini-interviews, webisodes and mini-documentaries has been a popular addition to the site, but we invite any ideas to create more video content.
Writer, actor, director, producer, juggler, unicycle rider, ancient alien, blogger and artist, he maintains a real day job as president of Alliance Media & Communications (a consulting and ad sales rep firm), marketing director and consultant for theatre and entertainment, and a college professor teaching marketing at Brooklyn College and LIU (Brooklyn campus) at night. A media consultant with special interest in multi-cultural marketing, he can be found on facebook, Linked-in or by emailing him directly at LocalTheatreNY@gmail.com.
He is also the editor and publisher of LocalTheatreNY.com. Cuban cigars, recommendations for "the Best things" in NYC and comp tickets to any show are happily accepted! Reach out to me, I'd love to talk to you.
