HORSE TRADE THEATER GROUP IN ASSOCIATION WITH NAKED GIRLS READING NYC PRESENTS
PAINTED GIRLS READING
On Wednesday, October 19th New York's "Best Story Hour" (The Village Voice Best of NY 2010), will celebrate its second anniversary in style at their new home with Horse Trade Theater Group, as Naked Girls Reading NYC begins a year-long residency at UNDER St. Marks with a very special event, Painted Girls Reading!
Nasty Canasta will be joined by burlesque superstars Gal Friday and Creamy Stevens, Barbara Gordon The Naked Librarian, and more, as they celebrate the hit nude literary salon's birthday by sharing their favorite literature in their birthday suits … but for a night this special, they're going to dress up a bit: makeup artist, burlesque performer and neuroscientist Dr. Flux will create unique body art on the Naked Girls, inspired by their own reading selections.

Past themes have included Banned Books, Science Fiction and Tween Lit, as well as their annual holiday presentation of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol. Guests to the salon are invited to sip a drink and listen with their eyes wide open as full-frontal literature meets fine art in this intimate theatrical setting.
Naked Girls Reading NYC is on the third Wednesday of every month at UNDER St. Marks (94 St. Marks Place between 1st Ave and Ave A) at 9pm. Tickets ($20; 2 for $35) may be purchased online at www.horseTRADE.info or by calling Smarttix at 212-868-4444. Seating is limited to 45; advance tickets are strongly recommended.
